Climate protection

We have already provided a detailed report on the special significance climate protection has for RWE in the chapter Reducing CO2 emissions. The focal points of our climate-protection strategy are the modernization of our power plant portfolio, the increased use of renewable energy, climate protection projects in developing and newly industrializing countries, and the use of technologies for the capture and storage of carbon dioxide produced when generating electricity.
